Batch Scale is a comprehensive Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and E-Commerce platform specifically tailored for modern Makers and Artisans. Our mission is to streamline your operations, from the first raw material to the final sale.

The Batch Scale Philosophy

Running a maker business is complex. You have to juggle material costs, production schedules, customer orders, and an online presence. Batch Scale brings all these moving parts into a single, unified system.

Key Pillars of the Platform

1. Data Isolation: Batch Scale uses schema-per-tenant isolation. Each workspace's business records are stored in its own PostgreSQL schema and access is checked against the current tenant. Your recipes, customer lists, and financial records are separated from other workspaces.
2. Automation First: We believe in reducing manual data entry. When you approve a quote, it becomes an order. When you finish a production run, your material stock is automatically deducted and your finished goods are incremented.
3. Consistent Units: The unit-conversion tools help keep configured metric and US customary quantities consistent across materials, recipes, and production records. Review conversions and rounding rules before relying on them for regulated work.
4. Integrated E-Commerce: Your public storefront isn't just a website; it's a direct extension of your inventory and production schedule.

Navigating the Dashboard

The sidebar on the left is your control center:

• Dashboard: Your "at-a-glance" view of sales performance, low-stock alerts, and upcoming pickups.
• Inventory: Manage your materials, track multiple storage locations, and use the Quick Add Template to save time.
• Production: Build dynamic recipes with automatic costing, run production batches, and forecast your future material needs.
• Sales: Manage the full lifecycle of quotes and orders, and keep track of your customer database.
• Storefront: Design your public website, manage product collections, and create custom pages.
• Finance: Track vendor invoices, manage purchase orders, and record business payouts.
• Settings: Configure your business profile, tax rates, and security settings.

Mobile Experience (PWA & Workshop Scanner)

Batch Scale is built as a Progressive Web App, optimized for use in the workshop. You can install it on your phone or tablet for a native app experience.

Workshop Scanning

Use the built-in Mobile Scanner to scan QR codes on your material bins or storage locations. This allows you to instantly adjust stock or move items between locations without typing.

How to Install

1. On iOS (iPhone/iPad): Open your workspace dashboard in Safari, tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow), and select "Add to Home Screen."
2. On Android: Open the dashboard in Chrome, tap the three dots in the top right, and select "Install App" or "Add to Home Screen."

Once installed, you'll have a Batch Scale icon on your home screen, and the app will open in a full-screen, distraction-free view.
