Customer Accounts and Secure Order Tracking
Use customer profiles, address books, durable carts, reordering, and secure order and return tracking.

Customers can select Track Order on the storefront and enter their order number plus the exact checkout email. A successful match creates a tenant-bound, signed access link that expires after 30 days. The lookup response never reveals whether only the order number or only the email exists.
The order page shows the workflow status, date, products, total, amount paid, balance, pickup/shipping information, tracking number, and customer-safe notes. Customers can open printer-friendly receipts and invoices. Manual-payment instructions direct the customer to the maker; the page never pretends to charge a card.
Customers with a storefront account can open the same detail from My Account > Order History. Access is restricted to orders belonging to that customer. Signed links are also bound to the current tenant, so a link from one maker cannot open an order belonging to another maker.
Customer profile and address book
- Sign in and open My Account.
- Select Profile & addresses.
- Update the customer name, phone, and optional company name.
- Add billing and shipping addresses. The first address becomes both defaults; later addresses can replace either default.
- Choose whether to receive transactional order updates and separately opt in to email or SMS marketing.
Marketing preferences default to off. Address edit and delete actions always verify that the address belongs to the signed-in customer. The default shipping address pre-fills checkout for every built-in storefront theme; checkout still validates all required address fields.
Durable carts and recovery
Cart contents are stored in the tenant database as well as the browser session. Prices are not trusted from either location: checkout always loads the current published product or variant price and current stock.
- A guest can copy the private recovery link shown in the cart. The signed link is bound to the current maker and expires after 30 days.
- When a guest signs in or registers, the guest cart merges with the customer's active cart. Matching lines add quantities up to the cart limit.
- A signed-in customer can name and save a cart, then restore it later from My Account. Restoring merges it into the current cart.
- Anonymous guest carts automatically expire after 30 days and their cart recovery link is safely removed.
Treat a recovery URL like a private password-reset link. Batch Scale refuses links for another tenant and refuses customer-owned carts unless the matching customer is signed in.
Reorder and saved products
Select Reorder in order history or Reorder at current prices on an order. Batch Scale adds only products and variants that are still published and available. It skips unavailable lines and reports the count; quantities, current prices, promotions, tax, fulfillment, and stock are revalidated during checkout.
Saved Favorites act as a customer wish list for individual products. Saved carts preserve an entire multi-line selection.
Returns and refunds
The order detail page shows each return's public reference, status, requested date, resolution, returned lines, customer-safe event timeline, and refund amount. Internal return notes are not exposed. The timeline is read-only; use the help form to ask the maker about a return.
Ask for help or request cancellation
Use the form at the bottom of the order page. Select Ask a question or Request cancellation, explain the request, and send it. The request enters Customer Messages already linked to the order and customer. A cancellation request does not silently cancel the order; the maker must review and confirm it.
Troubleshooting and security
- An expired or modified link returns a generic not-found response. Use Track Order again.
- Repeated failed lookups are rate limited. Wait five minutes before retrying.
- If no invoice appears, the maker has not created one yet.
- Do not forward order links. Anyone holding a valid link can view that order until the link expires.
- If a cart link is expired, rebuild the cart or sign in and restore a saved cart. Support cannot reactivate an expired anonymous link containing removed personalization.
- If Reorder skips a line, the product or selected variant is unpublished or inactive. Choose a current replacement from the catalog.
- If a saved address is rejected at checkout, confirm the country, postal code, and fulfillment method requirements.
- Receipts and invoices contain business information and should be downloaded only on a trusted device.
