Resin craft planning

Mix enough resin for the mold—at the manufacturer’s exact ratio.

Estimate volume for rectangular or round molds, add a practical waste allowance, and split Part A and Part B by weight.

Important limit

Use the manufacturer’s ratio basis.

A 2:1 volume ratio is not automatically a 2:1 weight ratio. Confirm ratio basis, density, working time, maximum pour depth, temperature, PPE, ventilation, and cure instructions from the resin manufacturer.

How to use the Epoxy Resin & Mold Volume Calculator

Estimate mold volume and split manufacturer-defined resin ratios. The calculator runs privately in your browser and is designed to make the assumptions behind the answer visible.

What it helps you decide

Estimate mold volume and split manufacturer-defined resin ratios.

What to have ready

Measure the real mold, vessel, fabric, or batch; then use the exact supplier ratio, density, usage ceiling, cure instructions, and expected waste.

Key inputs: Mold shape; Length or diameter; Width (rectangle only); Fill depth; Molds / pieces.

How to use the result

Use the estimate to prepare a controlled test quantity. Confirm fit, cure, burn, color, strength, or cut yield before committing a full production run.
